Stakeholders
Insiel (INS) provides digital services directly to regional public administrations, healthcare providers, local municipalities, and citizens of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, where the reliability of its infrastructure enables the smooth functioning of essential services.
Scenarios
Scenario 1: Cyber-attack during scheduled change. During a planned update of the network infrastructure and critical servers in a data centre, monitoring systems report abnormal traffic, unauthorised access attempts, and signs of data exfiltration. Operators must manage the update, contain the attack, coordinate with security and service managers, and decide whether to continue, revert, or adjust the plan. HOMAGE helps prevent or mitigate operational risks, adapts to the operator’s cognitive load to prioritise critical actions, and improves collaboration across IT security, physical security, operations, and emergency response.
Scenario 2: Post-crisis and learning. INS compares existing risk-specific procedures (ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 22301, NIS2) with the outcomes generated by HOMAGE tools, and uses the insights to refine training programmes and future response strategies.
Expected benefits
Better alignment between system forecasts and operator perception, enhanced detection of stress-linked behavioural deviations, faster and more accurate decision cycles, a deeper understanding of human-system interactions, and improved decision quality, user confidence and team coordination.
